According to regulation 27/III of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, each passenger must provide information regarding the name, surname, number, age (adult, child, infant) and whether they are a person in need of special care. Also, people who are entitled to a reduced ticket must make it known. This information is collected solely for the purpose of making it available to the authorities in the event of a maritime incident, to be used for search and rescue.
In addition, according to part C of law 4948/2022, article 43, “the passenger must provide, during the online booking or issuance of the ticket, accurate identification information, contact telephone number and email address, with the sole purpose of informing from the carrier in case of delay, cancellation or cancellation of the ship’s itinerary. In the event that the passenger does not wish to disclose contact information, this is registered by the issuer and in the case of an online reservation, the passenger fills in his contact information in the relevant online form or completes the option “I do not wish to be informed in case of delay, cancellation or cancellation of the itinerary”.
The person with a disability or reduced mobility must inform the ticket issuer or the carrier that they need assistance. In addition, when booking or pre-issuing the ticket, he must notify the carrier of his special needs for accommodation, seating or required services or the need to bring medical equipment with him”

As it follows from the above legislations, the data we collect is:
For persons aged 15 to 18, consent is required for the permission to collect and process their personal data, both from the same and from the guardian.
Your data is initially collected for two purposes:
a) To communicate with the customer in case of cancellation of the itinerary and
b) in the event of a maritime accident where the assistance of the coast guard is required in a search and rescue operation.
The collected information is transferred to the authorities only if requested or necessary.
According to law 4624/2019
“The processing of personal data by private entities for a purpose other than that for which they were collected is permitted, as long as it is necessary:

Personal data is initially stored online, from the ticket booking application, and the person’s age, not linked to their name or other information, may be processed for statistical results by the company.
Promotional material from the company may be communicated to you via e-mail, since after booking the ticket the relationship with the holder is considered “customer” and the provisions of article 11, law 3476/2006 apply.
The business is not responsible for any leakage of photos and videos from other customers and third parties unrelated to the business. In the event that we wish to publish an image of you, the customer’s consent is required.
